Step 2 Configuring the Ops Center VM

Ensure the VM is powered on and booted up. Lets start configuring Hitachi Ops Center.

The default credentails are:
Username: root
Password: manager

Open the Web console and login to vCenter/ESXI

Select the deployed VM
Open the Web Console and login using the default credentials.

The VM will ask that you reset the password as you login to a password of your choice.

Start the Automated Setup tool

To start the setup tool run: opsvmsetup

To guide you through the Ops Center Setup. The setup will ask the following:

Hostname or FQDN
IP Address
Subnet Mask
Gateway
DNS Server 1/2 address
Time Zone, see a list of valid timezones here.
NTP Server

Finalize the Setup tool

Once you are happy with the configuration you can confirm the settings.

Once confirmed there is no way to backout without redeploying Hitachi Ops Center

The automated setup tool will complete the configuration of Hitachi Ops Center, after the tool completes it will reboot the host with your supplied configuration.
